From the SCCA BoD and Staff
The devastation of Hurricane Katrina is incomprehensible for many of us, but very real for those in the Gulf Coast states. Our hearts and prayers go out to you in this trying time.
We often say that SCCA is a family, not just a club of “members.” When tragedy strikes, we feel the pain and suffering with our SCCA family members. We are often at our best during these tragic events, and news of support by SCCA members in the affected areas only serves to enforce our family ties.
The Sports Car Club of America National Office has received numerous offers of support from Regions and individual members for direct contributions to those SCCA members impacted by this disaster. We are currently compiling all ideas and options to determine the most effective effort from the National office, including, but not limited to, direct support by listing those efforts already established by SCCA Regions and members. We will be posting a list of these efforts on scca.com and will provide links when available. Please monitor the Web site for continual updates. In the meantime, SCCA members are encouraged to support the overall relief efforts reported in the national media.
Again, our hearts and prayers go out to you.
